Our goal is to:
Present OFF-ROAD DESERT RACING AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE!
In 2020, we are ready to try a new way of getting more people to race again (or start) and give them as they rightfully deserve.
Our intent is to bring out racers who have not raced in a while (or at all). Also, to bring out their race cars that might be gathering dust in some garage because it would cost too much money to bring them up to date. In other words; “Vintage” or “Updated” race vehicles, to have fun and enjoy our sport once again.
As a result, we are expanding our "PURE"TM Series Concept to include other Classes, perhaps Classes that are not as popular nowadays, as others, but just as important to our sport. In fact, they are the roots of our sport!
Therefore, the "PURE" SERIES OF SPECIAL CLASSES (old-style or new) are as follows:
“PURE” CLASS 5 & 5-1600 TM -
“PURE” CLASS 1-2/1600 TM -
“PURE” LITE TRUCKS TM -
“PURE” HEAVY - 8 TM -
and so on...
a.) We will schedule three (3) dates (not conflicting with other major dates), during 2020 to specifically feature each of the PURE Classes. Each PURE Group exclusively will choose their dates and we will try to accommodate. We will do this on a first-come-first-serve basis.
It's also possible that one PURE Class would race on Saturday and another Class on Sunday if the same desired weekends are requested.
b.) All events for each PURE Series will start/finish at the RACING RANCH, 138th & Proctor Blvd. - Cal-City Proper, Kern County, CA
c.) Each of the three (3) races can consist of using the same course and distance, or they can be changed with each event, at the GROUP's Choosing. We can lay out a 10-mile desert course or perhaps as big as a 75-mile course-plus or anything in between.
d.) Racing Rules will be chosen and managed by each Group. Tech will be conducted by an appointed Tech Director from each Group.
e.) We will score each event in the PURE (CLASS) Series and award points, accordingly.
f.) We will help promote the Series for each group.
g.) We will provide staff to handle everything from Registration, check-in, crowd and race control, scoring and communications at each event, as well as logistics, Medical Team, permits, etc.
h.) Entry fees will be:
1.) $350 for Sportsman/Amateur
2.) $550 for Pro Entry, with $200 of that going back to the Pro Purse
i.) We will have a COMBINED CLASSES Year-End Award Ceremonies.
More details coming soon, but we are looking forward to speaking with various classes individuals or representative(s) as to what they want out of our “PURE” Desert Series.
To be sure, we need to get this information out right away and set the 2020 schedule as soon as possible so that racers can make plans.
